Paris Hilton is desperate to start a family because she is convinced she would be a "great mother." The hotel heiress's recent relationships have resulted in failure, including romances with two Greek shipping heirs, Stavros Niarchos and Paris Latsis, to whom she was engaged to be married.
But Hilton is yearning to settle down and considers motherhood "the one important goal I want to achieve in my life." The 25-year-old says, "I hope so. I know in my heart that I would be a great mother. I would have a lot of love to give to my children. That's one important goal I want to achieve in my life, and nothing has happened to change that."

The New Zealand woman who caught NICOLE KIDMAN's wedding bouquet had to leave the coveted flowers at the airport when she discovered she wasn't allowed to fly out of Australia carrying plants. Retirement village manager EVELYN WHITE, best friend of groom KEITH URBAN's mother MARIENNE (corr), claims New Zealand's bio-security laws would have made it impossible for her to cross the Tasman Sea with her prized possession. The celebrity couple tied the knot in a lavish wedding ceremony at Cardinal Ceretti Memorial Chapel near Sydney, Australia on 25 June (06). Kidman carried an elegant bouquet of white roses and gardenias, which were arranged by Sydney florist SIMONE GOOCH. White was able to score the prestigious prize when it landed near her after Kidman's bouquet toss from a balcony missed a group of women waiting to catch it. She quips, "What can a girl do when it falls at her feet?" A disappointed White reluctantly handed the ultimate celebrity wedding souvenir back to Mrs Urban and the country singer's father, BOB, when she learned she would be forced to leave it behind.

Beyonce Knowles kept the recording of her upcoming album, B'Day, under very tights wraps -- sealing its secrets even from her father and manager, Matthew Knowles. As the former Destiny's Child tells Giant magazine, however, she had her personal reasons. "It took awhile for me and my dad to have an understanding," she says in excerpts from the interview on MTV.com. "When I turned 18 and started handling my business more, he went into shock. And we had our issues." Among them, she says, "I'd say 'No' to something, and he'd book it anyway. Then I'd have to do it because I'd look bad (if I didn't)." Admitting she and her father "would fight sometimes," the singer says that it "took about two years, to when I was 20, for him to realize, 'Oh, she is an adult now, and if she doesn't wanna do something, I can't make her do it.' " Knowles, who's usually mum about boyfriend Jay-Z, also comments about their relationship, saying, "It's very easy. He's so quick. And we respect each other. If I have any suggestions he respects it. If he has any suggestions, I respect it. It's just, I don't know, easy. And fun." Knowles will release B'day -- her first solo album since her multi-platinum 2003 solo debut, Dangerously In Love -- on her 25th birthday, Sept. 4. The new album's first single, "Deja Vu," features Jay-Z.

AMERICAN IDOL star DIANA DeGARMO will also feature in the latest cast line-up, reprising her role as PENNY PINGLETON in the theatrical adaptation of JOHN WATERS' cult 1988 film musical. Meanwhile, actress BRITTANY SNOW is reportedly in negotiations to play Von Tussle in the movie remake of Hairspray, which will start filming later this year (06). That production will star AMANDA BYNES, JOHN TRAVOLTA, QUEEN LATIFAH and BILLY CRYSTAL.

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star MARCIA CROSS married stockbroker TOM MAHONEY on Saturday (24JUN06) in San Gabriel, California. The wedding took place at the Church of Our Saviour Episcopal Parish late on Saturday afternoon. The 44-year-old bride wore a dress by Reem Acra and carried a bouquet of white peonies and white roses. Cross' sister, ELLEN, played guitar and sang ONLY LOVE REMAINS, while Marcia walked down the aisle on the arm of her father, MARK CROSS. Marcia's other sister, SUSAN HETT, served as the maid of honour, nephew JARED HETT was the ring bearer and Mahoney's pal ED MCCLAREN acted as best man. Cross also had seven flower girls, ranging in age from three to 12 - the children of some of her closest friends. Among the 220 guests at the wedding included EVA LONGORIA, FELICITY HUFFMAN and WILLIAM H MACY. The reception was held in two ballrooms at The Ritz Carlton hotel in Pasadena, California. Cocktails were served in an all-white ballroom converted into a lounge with white curtains covering the walls and white couches. Dinner was served in the second ballroom decorated in bright colours. The newlyweds spent their wedding night in The Ritz Carlton's two-story Tournament of Roses suite. It is the first marriage for both.

Jack Black might have joked that Suri Cruise was hogging his baby’s spotlight but in fact, according to reports, Tom Cruise couldn’t muster much attention for his daughter either - or at least not as much as he wanted.
Apparently an exclusive photo shoot featuring Suri with mum Katie Holmes and dad Tom Cruise was offered just after the baby was born in April and an auction between the main celebrity magazines was conducted. However, when bidding didn’t exceed $3million, the offer of the photos was rescinded.
The $4million offered for exclusive pictures of Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt was quite exceptional, according to an inside source: “Shiloh was the whole deal. We won’t see a baby like that again for a while.”
